Taxis are always available at every single hotel and along the coastal road that runs along the city. Another popular mean of transportation is the city bus, which runs every five minutes along the coastal road, from Cerritos area located in the north side of the city to Old Town in the south. Make sure to catch the route that contains the name “Centro”, otherwise you will end up taking a very interesting and unusual “city tour”.
The most popular taxi in town is called “Pulmonia” (pneumonia wagon in English) and you can easily catch one by going out to any main street. It’s an open-air vehicle for up to four persons and they usually have all kinds of music available for the passenger.
