Overview

This is an authentic old palace in Fez built in 1760, which has been transformed into a charming guesthouse and renovated in 2009. The guesthouse features traditional architecture harmoniously combined with all the comforts of modern accommodation. This typical house has two beautiful courtyards: the fountain courtyard around which the eleven luxurious rooms and suites are arranged, and the swimming pool patio with a leafy garden. The large roof terrace has sweeping views over the medina and offers various relaxation areas such as the traditional Moroccan tent and an upper terrace with a panoramic view of the Atlas Mountains. The premises are air-conditioned and guests are welcomed in a lobby with 24-hour reception and check-out service. Facilities include a hotel safe, currency exchange and a restaurant. For an additional fee, guests can take advantage of the room and laundry services on offer as well as the WLAN Internet access.

Location

The guesthouse is located in the heart of the oldest quarter in Fez's medina, a 10-minute walk from R'cif Place and 15 minutes from Batha Place. By car the riad is located 10 minutes from the train station and 20 minutes from Fez Airport (approximately 20 km away).

Rooms

Each room is individually decorated, air-conditioned, and has an en suite bathroom with a shower. The suites have a bathtub and a relaxing sitting room. Amenities include a hairdryer, Internet access, a safe, tea and coffee making facilities and heating. The rooms are furnished with either double or king-size beds.

Sport

In keeping with the ancient Moroccan tradition of the steam bath, the riad has a superb hammam offering beauty treatments and massages. There is also an indoor swimming pool (fees apply). Sun loungers and parasols are available on the sandy beach.

Meals

To discover the best of Moroccan cuisine, the riad proposes a variety of traditional menus served in the salon, the patio or on the roof terrace. (Moroccan breakfast: tea, coffee, milk, 2 kinds of pancakes, 2 kinds of juice, bread, butter, honey, jam, egg and cheese).
