When is the best time to go?
The Algarve has the best climate in the whole of Portugal and the most popular time to visit is through the summer months when the weather is at its hottest. Temperatures drop between November and March, but not too much, so beaches can be enjoyed all year round. The Golf Courses in the Algarve are also open all year, so there is always an excuse to come and practice your swing with a few friends and great weather!
Spectacular days out
Algarve’s stunning beaches often distract holiday makers from the beauty on offer inland. Visit the Monchique mountain region and spend the day strolling along wooded hills and bubbling streams, top it all off by relaxing in the thermal springs. Pure Bliss.
Hidden Gems
The natural park of Costa Vincentina near Lagos, is home to more secret beaches than you could possibly imagine. You’ll find one to yourself in no time. Kick back and relax on a private beach by yourself and really take in that Algarve sunshine.
How’s the shopping?
There’s plenty of shopping opportunity on an Algarve holiday. So you’ll get a few chances to pick up souvenirs for loved ones back home, Portuguese pottery is very popular, watch how you pack it though – no one wants a smashed plate as a present.
Where can I get a burger?
Try a flavoursome cataplana, a variety of seafood cooked in a traditional Portuguese pot and wash it down with the local beer, Sagres. Restaurants prices are generally cheap so you can probably stretch to pudding as well.
