The Balaia Atlantico Aparthotel is approximately four miles (or a ten minute drive) to the east of Albuferia on Portugal’s Algarve coastline. Occupying an attractive location surrounded by local flora, the Balaia Atlantico is only one and a half miles or five minutes in a car from the nearest beach, Olhos D`Agua. Contemporary, minimalist, designer inspired and laid back are all excellent descriptions of the Balaia Atlantico Aparthotel. There are 138 stylish apartments set in attractive gardens with a central lagoon shaped pool and a spacious terrace that is furnished with loungers, parasols and a convenient bar serving drinks and snacks. The interior is modern, with a great use of bold colours and elegant furniture. Each apartment is not only stylish but also well equipped with a kitchenette, lounge, satellite television, air conditioning and a private balcony or terrace. The Balaia Aparthotel’s restaurant has a chic feel about it and serves great Portuguese and international cuisine that will appeal to most peoples taste.
There are plenty of facilities to enjoy at the Balaia Atlantico Aparthotel including a tennis court, an 18-hole mini golf course and a health club which includes an indoor pool, Jacuzzi, fitness studio, gym, sauna, Turkish bath and massages. The health club opens Monday to Friday 10am to 10pm, on Saturdays from 10am to 6pm and Sundays and Bank Holidays it is closed. If that’s not enough to keep you busy whilst on holiday in Albufeira there is also a daytime and evening entertainment programme( not available in winter, so between November til the end of April), a games room, pool tables and live music most nights.

The hotel has an All Inclusive option which includes breakfast from 7.30am to 10am, lunch from 12.30pm to 3pm and dinner between 7pm and 10pm, all buffet style, served in the Panoramic restaurant. During meals house wine (red and white), local beer, soft drinks, water, tea and coffee are offered. Snacks such as sandwiches, toasted sandwiches, pizza, hamburgers, hot dogs, pasta, chips, scooped ice cream and fruit, etc are available at the poolside bar from 11am to 12.30pm and again from 3pm to 6pm or at the lobby bar if weather not great. Locally produced alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks like whisky, gin, rum, vodka, tequila, brandy, liquors, soft drinks, juices, mineral water, red and white house wine, sangria, ruby and tawny port wine, draught beer, coffee, tea, milk and hot chocolate are served between 11am and 11pm.

The Balaia Atlantico Aparthotel is close to a range of local beaches with the closest being Olhos D`Agua, 1.5 miles away or 5 minutes by car. The hotel operates an air-conditioned shuttle bus service through to 9 pm, Monday to Friday, all year round. In the evenings the shuttle bus will make two stops on its route into Albufeira, the first at the Oura Crossroads (The Strip) and the second at Albufeira Old Town.
