Olhos D'Agua beaches:

  • The local beach is called Praia D’Agua and has soft sand, rock pools and a lovely backdrop of pine trees and cliffs. Local fishermen use the beach so kids can have fun exploring the boats and watching the fishermen at work
  • Nearby beach Praia de Falesia is famous for being one the most beautiful beaches in the Algarve and is over 8km long so it’s definitely worth a visit for the space and stunning surroundings
  • A great family beach near Olhos D’Agua is Santa Eulalia as it has a gentle sea and soft sand which are perfect for younger children. You can sit back and relax knowing the kids are safe on your Olhos D’Agua holiday

Olhos D'Agua activities:

  • If you want a day away from the beach on your Algarve holiday your best option is to hire a car to reach some of Albufeira’s best attractions
  • Zoomarine is Albufeira’s famous aqua theme park where dolphin and sea lion shows, swimming with dolphins, the funfair, zoo and marine centre provide hours of fun
  • Slide and Splash is the new water park in the area, about half an hour from Albufeira, but well worth the trip especially if you have the kids with you on your holiday in Olhos D’Agua
  • Dolphin watching boat trips are very popular in the Algarve so if you fancy a few relaxing hours on the sparkling sea, spotting dolphins, this is the day trip for you

Olhos D'Agua nightlife:

  • Olhos D’Agua is a quiet, family-friendly town so the main nightlife centres around the local bars and restaurants. Head to a local restaurant to sample some Algarve specialities and get to know the locals and their culture
  • If you fancy a livelier night out, head to the ‘strips’ at Vilamoura or Albufeira. You can walk to Albufeira in just over half an hour but who wants to walk in high heels? Local buses and taxis are quite cheap and well worth it to avoid blisters on your Olhos D’Agua holidays!

Other attractions in Olhos D'Agua:

  • In August, Olhos D’Agua hosts Albufeira’s Sardine Festival where visitors can enjoy fresh sardines, great food and drink and live music in the Largo dos Pescadores
  • Jeep safaris offer a fantastic way to see more of the Algarve countryside and some small picturesque villages where you can further explore Portuguese culture. Prices usually include lunch so you can really make a day of it
