You'll Love Sinaia if...

  • Your looking for a cheap ski holiday.
  • Your part of an adventurous group looking for good powder and off piste conditions.
  • Your looking for a short flight time from the UK.

Sinaia Highlights

With an impressive height of 2000m, Sinaia boasts excellent skiing on its 40km of runs with 10 lifts. There’s also a good mix of beginner and advanced pistes, with fantastic après ski in the village centre. Whatever your budget, let lowcostholidays.com help plan your perfect break.

  • The resort is split into two sides of the mountain, with each one offering different facilities for different abilities. The easiest way to get up is to take the cable car from the town centre to the first stop Cota 1400, and the joining cable up the top at Cota 2000.
  • Sun Valley on the western side of the mountain is an ideal spot for beginners to take advantage of its wide slopes and mild conditions. Ski lessons are considerably cheaper than in other European resorts, and can be arranged for all ages in the village centre.
  • Dorului Hut is a great base for adventurous groups with experience to pick up ski guiding tours and set off on a cross-country trip to Dorului peak. It’s not advisable to attempt this on your own, as you must be accompanied by someone with a very good ski level and knowledge of the local area to avoid accidents.
  • The famous Dracula castle is only 50km away and an ideal day family day out as an alternative to skiing. Nearby Peles castle is also well worth a visit on your Sinaia holiday and was historically the home of the Romanian royal family.
  • The Bucegi National Park in which Sinaia is situated in a protected area with its own unique flora and fauna, which makes an excellent hiking trip among its leafy trails. As an alternative to skiing, buy a map from the town centre and get walking.
  • For après ski, a holiday to Sinaia boasts a selection of nightlife and local restaurants for delicious local cuisine and local beats that will have you dancing in our ski boots until the early hours.
  • The resort also boasts a 1500m bobsledding run, with 13 turns for the daredevils in your group.
