Sea World Orlando

SeaWorld Orlando is one of several marine animal based amusement parks in America and opened in December 1973, located in Williamsburg, Florida, the sea life theme park and aquatic centre includes a live Shamu show, dolphins, sea lions, flawless rollercoasters and an amazing night programme including fireworks, talented sea life and more. The addition of the Aquatica water park opened in March 2007 making the park more than an amusement and sea life park but a water park too. The main entrance is situated on the Central Florida Parkway; the park is typically open every day of the year from 9am to 6pm with some special occasions when the park stays open till 11pm.

Sea World presents some of the best rollercoaster rides in Orlando; Manta is the only flying rollercoaster worldwide; experience high speeds of 56 mph, water jets and slash effects and feel how rays and mantas fly through the ocean. Twists, turns, waterfalls and dark watery passage ways create the great water ride Journey to Atlantis. Don’t miss the best view of the park; take a ride on the 400 foot high Sky Tower to see an amazing bird’s eye view of the whole Park and downtown Orlando.

With a range of live shows, sea world boasts great live entertainment. Prepare to get soaked at the famed Shamu show; music, choreography and tamed killer whales create an amazing show that is guaranteed to wow the audience. Acrobatic dolphins and stunt actor’s debut in Blue Horizons and Sea lions, otters and walrus’s perform with lost pirates to create the hilarious Clyde and Seamore take Pirate Island show. Pet’s Ahoy features cats, dogs, birds and pigs in a comical display of amusement. Other shows include A’Lure the call of the ocean, Shamu Rocks, Sea Lions tonight, Reflections, Elmo and Abbey in Treasure Hunt and Shamu Christmas Miracles.

Get up close with the sharks from one of the world’s largest underwater tunnels and play with the friendly dolphins in Dolphin Cove. You will feel like you have stepped into the Antarctic in Penguin Encounter, see the penguins waddling about and playing in the snow. See, feel and feed the stingrays in the Stingray Lagoon and meet California’s sea lions and seals in the Pacific Point Preserve. Turtle Point homes over 300 rescued turtles from baby tortoise to six foot long terrapins. See an array of tropical undersea creatures in the Jewel of the Sea Aquarium and take a 360° underwater view of colourful sea beings in the Manta Aquarium.

Annual passes are great if you plan on visiting the park more than twice in one year, adult ticket prices begin around $70 and the park offers great year round deals and promotions such as a second visit free or multi park tickets where you have free entrance to other famed parks such as Universal studios and Busch Gardens, the more parks you visit the greater value you will receive for your money.
