Costa Blanca Holiday Information

One of Spain’s most popular holiday regions is the Costa Blanca or “White Coast”. Fly to either Valencia or Alicante for the shortest transfer times to your budget Spanish accommodation. The wonderful sandy beaches attract millions of visitors every year and cheap holidays in hotels and apartments on the Costa Blanca are plentiful.

The Costa Blanca is renowned for its glittering nightlife, and young and old alike, head to the resort of Benidorm to party all night and soak up the sun all day. Fabulous beaches, wild nightlife, cheap hotels and apartments, endless choices of cafes, bars and restaurants; the Costa Blanca has it all!

And we can’t forget the families who are on a Costa Blanca holiday. There are numerous Blue Flag beaches along the coast with two in Benidorm; Playa Levante and Poniente; a huge selection of water sports along the coast and Benidorm’s Terra Mitica theme park which is a fabulous day out with fascinating shows and rides. The harbour of Denja marks the northern start of Costa Blanca, attracting many tourists to its ancient castle with stunning sea views, the long sandy beach and mountainous backdrop. And how about taking a boat trip to the charming Isla de Tarbarca?

Do also look at cheap holidays in Moraira; Calpe with its excellent beaches and children’s play areas; Altea and bustling Villajoyosa.

Beaches in Costa Blanca

Throughout Costa Blanca, the beaches are mainly golden sand, with a number of secluded coves and rocky inlets. In Benidorm beautiful sandy Blue Flag beaches stretch along the coast for over five kilometres, and a good choice of cheap restaurants and bars are available. The Blue Flag Albir Beach in Alfaz Del Pi is a beautiful beach at the foot of Helada Sierra, made of coarse gravel. There are two coves nearby and a dedicated nudist beach cove.

La Villajoyosa Beach is a vast beach of fine golden sand with good facilities also awarded the Blue Flag and is ideal for families and friends. Water sports are plentiful throughout Costa Blanca and swimming and sunbathing opportunities endless.

Explore Costa Blanca

Moving away from the beaches, how about a trip to the city of Alicante, located in the centre of the Costa Blanca region? Alicante caters for those wising to dine cheaply, shop for hours or simply to escape the sand and sea, to explore a little more of Spain. For a picture postcard visit, travel to Altea, north of Benidorm located on a hilltop overlooking the magnificent Mediterranean Sea. Inland, Benissa was developed for safety from pirate attacks and here you may feel like you are talking a step back in time. The coolness of the Benidoleig Caves is the perfect location to spend days out of the sun, looking in awe at the magnificent stalactites and stalagmites.
