Calella Holidays

Calella holidays uncovered - insider tips

Whatever you decide to do on your holidays to Calella, whether its relaxing days on the beach or lively nights outs, lowcostholidays.com’s insider tips will help you discover your perfect holiday experience.

Spectacular nights out

A night out in Calella is a lively affair; there are more than 50 bars to try and around 10 nightclubs to choose from in the southwest area of town. Why not go all out and take a limousine ride so you can club hop in style? Check out Turisme 35, Western Saloon, the Tunnel or the Avenue for a big night out and fun foam parties.

Hidden Gems

Nestled in the middle of the town is the beautiful Dalmau Park where you can escape the hustle and bustle, take in the stunning pinewoods scenery and pretty fountains on your Calella holidays. There are also some children’s play areas to keep them occupied while you chill out.

How’s the shopping?

Shop till you drop in Calella, head to Carrer de l’Esglesia in the main pedestrianised shopping area where you can scour the designer shops, souvenir shops and general clothing stores. The markets are brimming with local produce for those holiday essentials. And if you’re a shopaholic, you could always head to Barcelona.

Where can I get a burger?

Generally the restaurants and eateries in Calella offer good value for money. “White Horse” pub is a great choice for traditional English grub or you could try “Gringo Joes”. Try one of the local tapas bars and sample some of the traditional Spanish dishes like Paella. Imported drinks are readily available, but why not try some local wine and save yourself a few quid!

Get in with the locals...

Shall I pack the sun cream?

  • Sun cream is recommended, unless you want to look like a lobster!

How do I get around?

Shall I learn the local lingo?

  • A lot of the locals speak English. You could learn the odd phrase like please or thank you if you want to be polite.
