Orihuela is a fantastic choice for a holiday, whether you want to spend every day on the beach or use it as a base to explore the Costa Blanca and surrounding countryside. Here we’ve put together a few tips on how to maximise your time on your holiday in Orihuela.

Orihuela beaches:

  • Orihuela holidays are great if you’re looking to relax on a stunning sandy beach, with over 16km of beaches along its coastline including;
  • Flamenca Beach with small coves and rugged surroundings

  • Costly, but an experience you’ll never forget, the Go Karting track in Orihuela is a fantastic day out for anyone
  • Torrevieja Water Park is also well worth a visit for families, groups and couples because there’s something for everyone, from huge water slides to wave pools and sunbathing areas

Orihuela nightlife:

  • Orihuela and the nearby coastal towns are packed with small bars and pubs where you can have a quiet drink and catch some live music or dancing
  • If you want to make a bigger night of it, head to Orihuela City where the bars are open later and there’s more to see and do
  • Torrevieja is the best spot for nightclubbing on an Orihuela holiday and can be reached by bus until 9pm (you’ll probably have to get a taxi back)

  • If you’re a keen golfer, there are many golf courses near Orihuela which can be reached by car or public transport, including Club de Golf Las Ramblas de Orihuela, Alicante Golf, La Finca Algorfa Golf and Real Club de Golf Campoamor
  • An hour away from Orihuela, you’ll find the Parc Natural de Sierra Espuña where you can hike, cycle, rock climb, fish and kayak in the stunning surroundings of limestone and pine forests
