The Alcazaba Mar Hotel is an attractive property in the small town of Retamar located right by a golf course and only 300 metres from a sandy beach. Cabo de Gata Nature Park is also in the vicinity, around ten miles away whilst Almería's sightseeing attractions are roughly seven miles from the hotel.

There are 212 guestrooms spread across three floors at the Alcazaba Mar Hotel and all are air conditioned. Reception at the hotel is open 24 hours a day and there is a restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as a bar and a cafe. Younger visitors are well catered for with a kids club and there is a playground where they can let off steam.

Retamar itself has recently developed as a tourist area and there are a number of bars and restaurants for your enjoyment. The adjacent El Toyo 18-hole golf course has practice facilities and a golf school.

Swimming pools

The hotel has two swimming pools and a children’s pool. One pool is quieter and better for a relaxing swim whilst the other is livelier and it is here you can join a game of water polo or water volleyball. The children’s pool is unsupervised and closes in low season
