If there’s one place you can’t go wrong with as a family it’s a water park, and the Baku Water Park in Corralejo doesn’t disappoint. Various slides, wave pool, sand built solariums and a kids area will provide endless hours of entertainment, all under the glorious Spanish sun.

There are many activities to keep the family entertained in Corralejo. The kids can enjoy a round of crazy golf at one of the many mini golf centres dotted around the resort, and the nearby sandy beach offers beach volleyball, with a ten-pin bowling alley just up from the market if there’s still the time and energy left.

The main street through Corralejo is home to many souvenir and grocery shops but head out to one of a few commercial centres in the area, such as The Atlantico Centre selling everything from clothes and shoes, to toys and games.

Both local and international cuisines can be found in Corralejo, catered to all budgets. The harbour is home to mostly Italian and Canarian dishes, as well as fresh local seafood, whilst spectacular views can be seen from the bars and restaurants along the seafront of the old part of town.

Just a short boat ride from Corralejo you will find the beautiful nature reserve of Lobos. The serenity of the reserve allows visitors to explore plants and animals, which cannot be found in any other part of the world. With stunning views over Fuerteventura, the Lobos nature reserve is well worth a trip to.

The harbour at Corralejo offers various excursions out to sea, including glass bottom boats, jet ski hire and deep-sea fishing trips. Many bars and restaurants also surround the marina, serving fresh fish and local dishes.

The sand dunes in Corralejo are a protected nature reserve and lie just beyond the town and a short walk from the edge of the village. The dunes spread for miles along the coastline, a paradise for beach lovers with no built up area to distract from their beauty.

Correlejo has many smaller beaches. The ‘Town’ beach is near to the town and is clean, sheltered, safe and surrounded by restaurants. Flag beach is ideal for wind and kite surfing, as is the lesser-known Glass beach, with various packages and courses available.
