Corralejo holidays uncovered - insider tips

Whatever you want out of your holiday to Corralejo, a lazy beach holiday or an active holiday in the sun, lowcostholidays.com’s insider tips will help you discover your perfect holiday experience.

Spectacular nights out

Head to the Avenida. Del Generalismo, the main street in the resort where all the evening activities are based. “Corkys Surf Bar” is a good choice for those happy hour drinks. There are a few bars along this street where you can pick up some bargain drinks during happy hour.

“Music Square” is worth checking out if you want to see some local bands perform, with a great atmosphere and a lively crowd most nights on your Corralejo holidays.

If you want to party till the early hours, you could check out Majestics, just next door to Corkys – so you won’t have to travel far to continue with the evening activities.

Hidden Gems

The pretty island of Los Lobos is just like a Robinson Crusoe retreat, with daily boat trips running from Corralejo, you’ve got to see it with your own eyes. It’s a small island that measures just 1.7 square miles and there is a small rustic restaurant where you can sit back and eat whilst taking in the views.

How’s the shopping?

The El Campanario shopping centre is open till 10pm and the shops on the main street are open late too, so you can do a full day on the beach, grab something to eat and still have enough time to scour the shops for gifts and souvenirs. You can pick up jewellery, clothing and perfumes here. Local products include Aloe Vera and local crafts, which are great presents to take home.

Where can I get a burger?

There are the usual fast-food eateries on the Avenida Nuestra Señora del Carmen, which is great if you’re after a quick bite to eat but you’re best bet is to head to one of the pretty and traditional restaurants dotted around the port and the old town. Most of these places serve fresh fish, local and Spanish cuisine, all with friendly and excellent service.

For a good meal, the average price per person is around 12 Euros.
