Vigo at a Glance

In the north western corner of Spain in the Pontevedra Province of green Galicia, lays the city of Vigo. On the coast of the Ria de Vigo, the city is a quiet, quaint, yet totally entertaining destination. A holiday to Vigo could be your perfect summer getaway.

You'll Love Vigo if...

  • You’re keen to discover an un-spoilt piece of Spain where you can soak up an unexpected culture whilst working on your tan.
  • You’re an active family keen to be outdoors and active.
  • You simply want to escape to a destination with a relaxed pace of life, great beaches and good food.

Perfect Family holidays in Vigo

A great destination for any family, whether you’re keen for an outdoorsy break, getting close to nature and breathing the fresh clean air. Or you have a penchant for a golden tan and want nothing more than to relax, Vigo has something to offer all tastes.

  • For a sure-fire way to keep the entire family entertained on a holiday to Vigo head to the city’s best beach, Playa Samil. A long stretch of white sand trails into crystal clear waters and not far from the promenade is a bowling alley, a roller-skating rink and several open air kids pools.
  • Alternatively if the Playa Samil is a bit more hustle and bustle than you’re after, head to the beach of A Punta Timoeiro, complete with all the essential facilities not to mention good soft sands leading into the crisp cool waters of the Ria de Vigo
  • For a day of cultural intervention head to the Museo de Arte Contemporanea, incidentally possessing one of the best contemporary art collections in northern Spain.
  • Casco Vello is the historical centre of the resort and a great place to spend a day away from the beach. Wander the streets and munch on paella. You could even pick up a few souvenirs along the way.

Top Attractions in Vigo
