The stunning manmade beach, Playa Amadores is a long, wide stretch of soft sand; the beach isn’t too busy, and the sheltered calm waters make it very popular with families. Amadores holidays are perfect for families who want a memorable and exciting beach holiday. There's plenty to do in the area including the Aqualand Water Park in Maspalomas which is the biggest in Gran Canaria, and offers a range of thrilling slides and even a lazy river to enjoy.
Spend the days relaxing on the beach, or go shopping in the unique markets and boutiques of the town. There are also two golf courses in nearby Maspalomas if you are into sports, or you can simply hire a pedalo and explore the coastline.
There are plenty of restaurants in resort to please all appetites, including traditional tapas bars, seafood restaurants and international cuisine. If you want something livelier then head to nearby Maspalomas.

The Gloria Palace Amadores Thalasso and Hotel overlooks the sea and is a 10 minute walk down to the relaxing beach. The hotel offers a kids' club, a playground, and two freshwater swimming pools. There's also easy access to the golf course which is nearby.
Visit the Dunes of Maspalomas which have been a protected site since the 19th century, and contains many species of wildlife including sand lizards. The area has quite a large gay community too, and has plenty of fun and friendly bars to enjoy.
Embark on a cliff top walk between Amadores and Puerto Rico, and remember to take your camera! You can also go on camel rides along the coast – a really interesting and exciting way to see all of Gran Canaria.
Amadores is perfectly situated for day trips to Puerto Rico, and Puerto Morgan. Puerto Rico is a man-made holiday resort with lots of attractions and activities to enjoy, while Puerto Mogan is a smaller fishing village, which is in a secluded valley.
