Picturesque Arguineguin

Arguineguin holidays are perfect for soaking up the sun; the town’s two small beaches are great for children with soft sands and calm waters. There’s plenty of choice nearby too, with 400m of sandy beaches and coves in the neighbouring Pataclava. The surrounding area also offers plenty of activities, especially for families, with watersports, crocodile parks and camel safari parks.

Take the time to explore some of the Canary Islands most magical scenery during your trip. Head down to the harbour early in the morning and watch the fishing boats arrive with the fresh fish. The area is also ideal for nature walks, with fantastic cliff top walks leading to nearby towns.

Arguineguin holidays are great for relaxing on quiet beaches with less tourists here than other resorts in Gran Canaria. For a fun day out visit the nearby water park Aqualand situated in the resort of Maspalomas.

There is plenty to keep the whole family entertained whilst at the beach. Try banana boats for a fun water sport activity, or head out to sea on a whale and dolphin watching trip. For something more relaxing you can play a game of golf at the nearby course Maspalomas.

There are a range of things to do when on a romantic Arguineguin holiday. The town has a few markets, where you can pick up some bargains and souvenirs. There is also a lovely beach for you to relax on or visit Cactualdea Park which is home to many different species of cactus.

Arguineguin is great for a simply relaxing break. Spend the days shopping in the unique boutiques and markets, or take a scenic coastal walk around the island. If you want something more active, head to nearby Maspalomas and play a few rounds of golf on the courses there.

Arguineguin beach is fairly relaxed and populated mainly by the locals. Head to the Pataclava area, and explore the coves, or take a day trip to Maspalomas beach which is a lot more lively and offers a range of activities.

Being home to a fishing harbour, fresh seafood is caught daily, so be sure to sample some at one of the nearby restaurants or simply kick back and relax on the sandy beaches and top up your tan.

Diving amongst some colourful marine life

Try scuba diving in the deep waters around the island, or take a jeep safari tour of Mount Tejeda, which is the volcanic mountain which is the centrepiece of Gran Canaria. Fishing is also popular in the town – many of the restaurants will serve the catch of the day.

Visit nearby Maspalomas, which is famed for its sand dunes or take a day trip to Puerto Rico which is more built up and offers a varied nightlife. Playa de Mogan is also a day trip away, and is also another secluded town which is well worth a visit.
