The main beach in the area is called Happy Bay - a literal translation of Bahia Feliz, and Playa Del Ingles and Maspalomas beaches are nearby. Both of these beaches are livelier than the local beach at Bahia Feliz.
The beach is a mix of pebble and sand, and the water is quite deep in places so could be unsuitable for small children. However, there is a great promenade which overlooks the sea, which is great for strolling along or relaxing in one of the cafes and bars.
The deep water makes it great for all water sports including windsurfing, sunbathing, swimming, surfing, jet skiing, and sailing. You can also arrange a day trip by boat around the island if you don't fancy anything too extreme.

The beaches and nature of the area are the main attraction of Bahia Feliz, and it really is a quiet resort perfect for the ultimate relaxing beach break in the sun.
There are loads of activities in the area to keep you occupied including hiking, jeep safaris, scuba diving, deep sea fishing, and mountain biking. Gran Canaria is fairly rocky in places which makes it a great island for exploring.
The resort has convenient access to other towns in the area including Playa Del Ingles, which has plenty of sandy beaches; Puerto Rico, which is a built up town on the coast; and Maspalomas, a relaxing town famed for its sand dunes.
