Overview

The Canaima Apartments is an attractive complex built onto the hillside overlooking the town of Puerto Rico and its beach on the island of Gran Canaria. The Canaima’s 70 one and two bedroom apartments have en-suite facilities, a living room, kitchen and a balcony or terrace. Beautiful gardens filled with the local flora surround the Apartments Canaima, in fact, over 40% of the complex is dedicated to gardens and swimming pools.

There are pools suitable for adults and children, a fun play park area for kids, and a convenient poolside snack bar serving food and drink with seating inside and out as well as a games area with a pool table. The snack bar also features regular entertainment such as karaoke and barbeques in high season.

The resort of Puerto Rico is especially popular with families who enjoy the year round warm weather and the child friendly facilities. Shops, bars and restaurants are all within easy reach and there are two public lidos surrounded by gardens for those wanting a break from the sometimes busy beach. The local bus service is regular and cheap and is a great way to explore a little more of Gran Canaria.

Swimming pools

The apartments have a large adult swimming pool, a separate shallow children’s pool and another area with two pools and a waterfall right next to the snack bar. Attractive gardens and spacious terraces provide ample opportunity for you to relax and enjoy Gran Canaria’s fabulous weather.

Eating and drinking

The complex has poolside snack bar offering local and international cuisine. It has seating and tables both inside and out, and in the outdoor area there is a pool table and hover disk table for your enjoyment. In the summer months, the snack bar holds regular barbeques and karaoke evenings for guest’s entertainment.
