Cala Tarida Attractions

Cala Tarida is a great resort for a summer holiday and it’s in an ideal location for exploring everything else this vibrant island has to offer. We’ve come up with some fantastic tips to help you make the most of your time in Cala Tarida.

Cala Tarida beaches:

  • Cala Tarida has one of the longest and widest beaches on the west side of the island, which makes it a perfect spot for sunbathing, beach sports and watersports for all ages
  • The sea at Cala Tarida Beach is clear and shallow and has a soft sandy bottom so paddling and swimming is safe and comfortable for children
  • You can swim out to some of the rocks in Cala Tarida bay for some private sunbathing on your Ibiza holiday.

Cala Tarida activities:

  • Take a ferry over to San Antonio for a change of scenery – and pace! San Antonio is famous for its lively atmosphere and promenade, not to mention the nightlife
  • San Jose is just ten minutes’ drive from the small village of San Jose where you can grab bite to eat and watch a fantastic sunset from halfway up the island’s tallest mountain, perfect for a couples holiday in Cala Tarida
  • Head to Ibiza golf club for a day on the sunny 18 hole, Par 72 course in Santa Eularia. There’s also a pro-shop, tuition and club and buggy hire available

Cala Tarida nightlife:

  • Cala Tarida is a family resort so the nightlife is quiet and low-key. Most hotels offer an entertainment package throughout the week and some restaurants and bars will put on live music to draw in the tourists
  • Party capital San Antonio is the only place to go to for a wild night out whilst on holiday in Cala Tarida. Visit the sunset strip where you’ll find Café del Mar, or head to Mambo where Radio 1 often hosts parties and Es Paradis for its infamous water parties
  • Ibiza Town is a little further away but if you want to see what all the fuss is about, it’s well worth the trip

Other attractions near Cala Tarida:

  • Explore the island by bicycle, jeep or boat tour and get to know the smaller villages, beautiful coastline and tourist attractions in an exciting way, avoiding long bus journeys
  • Take a ferry over to Formentera and explore another Balaeric Island
  • If you hire a car there are plenty of places worth visiting, including the Hippy Market at Es Canar, Aguamar Water Park near Playa D’en Bossa and the Can Marça Caves in Puerto de San Miguel. Some of these attractions can also be reached by bus
