Things to do

If you’re looking for days out on holiday, it is well placed for many of the attractions in the north of Lanzarote.

  • Thrill seekers will have fun at the nearby waterpark, Aquapark Costa Teguise.
  • If you’re looking to improve your handicap, you’ll find Costa Teguise Golf close by.
  • You’ll also find a large shopping complex in town, or take a 10 minute drive into the historic capital of Teguise to haggle at the Sunday market and take home some souvenirs that are really cheap.
  • Explore the famous lava caves at Cueva de los Verdes or dance the night away at the nightclub built into the caves in Jameos del Agua.

If you’re planning a beach holiday, there are four to choose from, all with a mix of golden sand and volcanic rock.

  • Playa de las Cucharas is the largest of the beaches and is perfect if you’re looking to do some windsurfing on your holiday.
  • Costa Teguise’s beaches of Playa Charcos and Playa Bastian are smaller and more sheltered, but still close to the bars and restaurants so ideal for families.
  • Playa Del Jabillo is the quietest beach of all, but has sunbeds and hammocks available to rent, and a good choice of watersports on offer.
