Lagomar is a must; originally the home of Omar Sharif, this exclusive restaurant, bar and nightclub is built into the face of a cliff and has such an amazing atmosphere with curved corridors that link the natural caves. Be prepared to pay a bit more for this experience, but it’s definitely worth it!

Hidden Gems

If you’re going to see anything on your Costa Teguise holiday, you must visit the Fundación César Manrique and César Manrique's House, at Taro Tahiche. Check out the house that has been built underground in volcanically formed caves, it is truly stunning. It is also an art gallery where you can see original sketches from Pablo Picasso and Joan Miró.

How’s the shopping?

Well if you’re on holiday to Costa Teguise, then you can’t miss the Sunday market where you’ll be spoilt for choice with local produce and crafts that you can pick up as souvenirs and gifts. You’ll be entertained as you shop by folk dancers and singers performing in the square or the traditional Canarian wrestling.

Where can I get a burger?

If you want to break away from the standard restaurants that cater mainly for British families, then try some of the local cuisine. “El Pescador” and “La Taberna de Pueblo Marinero” where you can sample some of the local dishes and beer.
