Playa Blanca is an ideal choice for those of you looking to relax and soak up the sun or enjoy some of the action on a stunning beach. To make the most of your holiday, check out lowcostholidays.com’s insider tips, you never know, it might come in handy!

Spectacular nights out

If you’re after a lively night out with banging music and clubs open till dawn, you’re not going to find it in Playa Blanca; jump in a taxi and head to Puerto del Carmen. The nightlife here is a bit more sedate than its noisy neighbour, with a lot of the entertainment being more hotel-based. Although you will find a selection of bars that offer a blend of food, entertainment, karaoke, quiz nights and music in Playa Blanca.

Hidden Gems

La Cueva de los Verdes is a stunning system of underground grottos located in the north part of the island, and so worth the effort to get to. It is one of the largest volcanic systems in the world and is a massive 4 miles in length, formed over 5 thousand years ago. Well worth a visit on your holidays to Playa Blanca.

How’s the shopping?

You will find a good selection of supermarkets in the resort that stock well known brands, which is ideal for those holiday essentials. There are a few electrical duty free stores and more touristy shops towards the harbour, but remember to check anything you buy before you leave the country and make sure any electrical items have an CE stamp.

You could check out the Sunday market in Costa Teguise if you want to pick up any local crafts and produce, the experience is not to be missed anyway with street entertainment while you shop!

Where can I get a burger?

If you can’t decide what to eat the best thing to do is take a walk along the main promenade and see what deals there are in the restaurants. Most of the restaurants along the promenade cater for all tastes, ages and cuisines. We do recommend you check out “Brisa Marina”, “Casa Pedro” and “La Bocaina”.
