Alcudia holidays uncovered - insider tips

Whatever you want out of your holiday to Alcudia, a lazy beach holiday or an active holiday in the sun, lowcostholidays.com’s insider tips will help you discover your perfect holiday experience.

Spectacular nights out

Although there are plenty of bars and restaurants in Alcudia, it’s not party central. A beer will cost anything between 2.5 Euros to 3.5 Euros depending where you go.

If you’re after a late night of dancing on your Alcudia holidays, the popular Bells disco is the place to go; located on Belle Vue Strip here’s where you’ll hear the latest music with guest DJs.

Hidden Gems

Nestled behind the resort in a woodland area is the stunning rural estate of Sa Bassa Blanca that is home to the Jakober Art Foundation and Gardens. If you’re into art or you fancy doing something a bit different on your Alcudia holidays, you can check out the collection of 130 portraits of royal children dating back to the 16th century. You could take a turn in the rose garden or follow the open-air sculpture trail.

How’s the shopping?

There’s no distinct shopping area in Alcudia, but you could check out the mall in the satellite resort of Playa de Muro. The supermarkets stock well-known brands and cheap alcohol and cigarettes – so you can stock up before you head out in the evening.

Where can I get a burger?

There are plenty of fast-food restaurants and cafés serving burgers and chips but you will also find a selection of Italian, Indian and Chinese restaurants on a holiday in Alcudia.

An average meal for 2 with local wine is around 12 Euros. If you head to one of the more up-market restaurants down by the port expect to pay more.
