Cala Millor Holidays

Cala Millor holidays uncovered - insider tips

Cala Millor is an ideal choice for those of you looking for a blend of history, culture and a bit of relaxation on the beach. To make the most of your holiday check out lowcostholidays.com’s insider tips; you never know, it might come in handy!

Spectacular nights out

If you’re after a rowdy night out on your Cala Millor holidays you’re in the wrong resort, although you will find a couple of late night discos such as Palace Q which is open until 6am and plays a mix of Spanish and chart music.

“Cheers” is a great night out if you’re into quiz nights, karaoke or bingo. Families may want to check out “The Oxford Blue” with its big screen and a Wii to keep big kids and little kids entertained and also offers excellent value for money food and drink.

Hidden Gems

Punta de N’Amer is a 200-hectare nature reserve nestled on the east coast of the island, a scenic walk along a track from Cala Millor. Take a walk up to the Castell de N’Amer 17th century watchtower and take in the stunning views – a moment of tranquility well worth experiencing on your holiday in Cala Millor.

How’s the shopping?

You will find the usual souvenir shops in the resort for picking up a bit of holiday tat, but generally shopping is quite limited in Cala Millor. If you wanted to travel, you could head to the Son Servera market on a Friday but we would recommend that you do the 20km journey to the excellent Monday market in Manacor where you can get a taste of traditional Majorcan life. You can also pick up a few bargains along the way without the tourist mark up!

Where can I get a burger?

The “Oxford Blue” is a great choice for food – just see if you can actually clear the plate! Portions are generous and the food is traditional English cuisine; with home from home cooking this English-run establishment offers a good hearty meal and a friendly environment.

“Get Stuffed” serves food from 10am – 10pm and Sparkys is also well worth a visit.

An average 3-course meal is around £12. If you head to one of the more up-market restaurants down by the port expect to pay more.
