Overview

The Arcos Playa Apartments are situated in the traditional Majorcan fishing village of S´Illot on the central east coast of Majorca. Situated away from the busier resorts, the apartments are located just 50 metres away from the Blue Flag beach of S´Illot with its white sands and clear turquoise water. S´Illot also boasts a good range of shops, restaurants and bars.

Arcos Playa Apartments was fully refurbished in 2005. The modern low- rise complex is a small development of 66 one and two bedroom self-catering apartments, distributed between two buildings and set amidst spacious sun terraces overlooking a central pool area. Guests can choose to relax beside the attractive swimming pool with ample sunbeds and parasols or head off to the sandy beach just 150 metres away. The complex has a fantastic daytime and evening entertainment programme with quizzes, bingo and karaoke. Additional facilities include 24 hr reception desk, medical service, dry cleaning and laundry service, Wi-Fi connection and currency exchange.

The neighbouring resort of Sa Coma is a relaxing promenade, just a short walk away, and here you will find a larger selection of restaurants, bars and shops. Sa Coma is also host to a wide variety of water sport activities as well as several 18-hole golf courses, tennis and squash courts, horse riding, mini-golf, bowling, go-carting, and bicycling facilities. Children especially enjoy the Golf Paradis’ 54-hole mini golf course set among fountains, waterfalls and palm trees. Another big plus for the children is the resorts proximity to the large safari-park at Cala Millor, where apes, gazelles, elephants and ostriches are among the animals that roam in a simulated natural environment and can be viewed from a safari bus.

The more energetic can climb up to the medieval watchtower on the headland at Punta de n’Amer, worth the 45-minute walk for the beautiful view from the top, where there is a café for refreshments. Also on offer are several sight-seeing boat trips and excursions to attractions on the island like the Caves of Ham and Drac, with stalactites, stalagmites and an underground lake – a boat trip on Lake Martel is an unforgettable experience. If you want to explore further afield on your holiday S´Illot is within easy reach of the old city of Palma with its 14th Century Cathedral, Almudaina Palace, old town and many other sights.

Swimming pools

There is a main outdoor swimming pool with children’s area and sun terrace, sun loungers and umbrellas, and there is also another sun terrace in front of the building with a view of the square and beach.

Eating and drinking

Self-catering units with fully equipped kitchens. There is a supermarket opposite the complex for guests to purchase food and other necessities. In addition, the complex has an air-conditioned restaurant and snack bar offering a choice of traditional Spanish, international and vegetarian menus. A comfortable lounge bar and snack bar are also available.

Accommodation

The 1 bedroom apartments can sleep between 1 and 4 adults plus a baby (double bed, sofa bed and cot). The 2 bedroom apartments can sleep between 1 and 6 people plus baby (2 double beds, sofa bed and cot) making these apartments ideal for couples or families. All guest rooms are centrally heated according to the season and come fully equipped with en-suite bathroom with shower, open plan kitchenette with electric cooking rings and fridge. A combined living/dining room area contains sofa beds, safety deposit box for rental and either a balcony or terrace, many of which with views over the pool and garden area. In addition to the above a maid service is also available undertaking change of towels as required and change of bed linen once a week.

Dogs no larger than 10-12 kilos are allowed prior advance notice on booking.
