Cultural holidays in Ciudadela

The town is packed with culture, which you'll see if you simply take a walk around and look up at the historic buildings. Visit the Cathedral in the Plaza de Pio XII, then stop off for a coffee before heading to the Palace Torre Saura in Plaza de’s Born. Walk through the winding narrow streets and head to the old town of Ciudadela where you will find Moorish style buildings and medieval architecture. With hidden Gothic churches and Palaces, there's so much to see.

Explore Ciudadela

Take a walk to the harbour, sit back in a local café and watch the world go by. Why not hit the shops or hop on a bus to one of the neighbouring beach resorts such as Cala Santandria or Cala’n Blanes for a sun-soaked day lazing on the beach? You could try your hand at diving, sailing or snorkeling in the clear waters or simply watch the kids build sandcastles. For a great day with the kids on your family holiday, head to the Aqua Centre Water Park or the Aqua Rock Water Park with plenty of chutes and rides to keep you entertained.

Head to the capital of Mahon where you can check out the views from the 17th century fortress or find that perfect gift in one of the shops. Why not hire a car on your Ciudadela holiday and discover some of the pretty inland villages or hidden coves along the coastline? Once the sun sets, head to one of the many restaurants in the resort that serve local or international cuisine, followed by a late night of dancing in the bars and clubs that litter the town.
