This elegant 4-star hotel was named after one of the most beautiful monuments in the city and since its original construction in 1878 has lodged some important guests including Alfonso XII and Queen Maria Cristina, and from 1940 to 1975 it was the residence of General Franco. Guests are ensured a memorable and relaxing stay while at the hotel with 75 refurbished and spacious rooms and some brilliant features including the large beautiful gardens that were opened to the public 1977, as well as some modern facilities such as the steam room and fitness centre. The hotel also offers comfortable places to relax during your stay with a bar/lounge along with a cosy lobby with a fireplace, or alternatively stop by the café/coffee shop or restaurant for a delicious meal or drink.
