Las Caletillas’ gorgeous black pebble beach is ideal if you’re looking for a tranquil spot to watch the spectacular waves that form around the rocky coastline here. The dark sandy beach at Candelaria is a stone’s throw away and you’ll find golden sands at nearby manmade Playa de Las Teresitas, which offers excellent facilities for families including many water sports.

  • The area is excellent for boat trips, fishing, bike rides or walks and the bustling capital Santa Cruz is nearby and is the place to head for shopping as well as botanical gardens and theme parks.
