If you're one of those people that likes going somewhere new on holiday every year, you might want to give the ClubHotel Riu Buena Vista a try. Reason being, once you've stayed here you'll want to come back again and again. The seafront location's a big advantage. Set opposite the sea, it's just a hop, skip and a jump down to the beach. Of course, you may prefer to simply relax around the pool area. And who could blame you? Tucked in palm dotted gardens, and with views out to sea, it's a lovely spot just to kick back and go slow. If you want a break from the sun, you can always head to the gym for a work-out. Activities and pools aside, the bedrooms here are just lovely, decked out in soothing Mediterranean colours and kitted out with air-conditioning and satellite TV. And, when you are feeling puckish, the food at the ClubHotel Riu Buena Vista is another attraction. Start the day off with a sizzling breakfast. Then perhaps grab a quick snack at the pool bar for lunch before getting ready for a meal at the buffet-style restaurant come dinnertime. As if that wasn't enough, there are also special theme nights twice a week. Once you're pleasantly satisfied, grab a chair in one of the bars for a glass of sangria. Or perhaps settle down to enjoy the organised entertainment that's laid on. There are regular shows and live music on offer. However, if, you want to go out in the evenings, the bright lights of Playa de las Americas with its restaurants, bars and lively nightlife are within easy striking distance.
This quiet resort has mainly self catering hotels and so doesn't have many restaurants, but is close by to busier resorts and so has the best of both worlds. Head here for a relaxing, hot holiday by the pool.
