Whether you’re travelling with family or friends, Santa Ursula holidays are the perfect way to experience the beauty of rural Tenerife in style. This northern resort is a short drive away from Los Rodeos airport and is an ideal base for relaxing, sampling local cuisine and exploring the many cultural and historical sights.
Take a stroll through the greenery and wildlife in the year-round sunshine, or take a trip to the stunning volcanic landscape of the Mount Teide National Park.
For nature lovers, there’s the picturesque palms and seabirds of preserved Malpais and the huge secluded Mencey Bencemo Cave that offers amazing views of the lush Orotava Valley. If taking in the scenery is your thing then the place to head is pretty Puerto De La Cruz, where you’ll also find a large lido which is excellent for families and the beautiful beaches at Los Cristianos and Playa de Las Americas are only a short drive away.
When you’re not wandering around the ancient and luscious nature trails, you’ll find plenty to do. Wander around the buzzing commercial centre where you’ll find small boutiques and international restaurants, sample the local wine and watch the world pass by in a sparkling plaza. There are also many historical and cultural sights to check out, such as the 16th century Santa Ursula church, the imposing Town Hall, as well as numerous pretty winding streets, plazas and churches. There really is so much to do in Santa Ursula.
After you’ve whiled away the day in the Canarian sunshine, you’ll find a relaxing vibe to your evening, with many bars and restaurants to choose from. Due to the student population, you’ll find contemporary choice alongside the more traditional and if you’re looking for some entertainment there’s regular theatre and live music.
