To keep cool in the hot midday sun, head to the Aqua Palace Water Park where kids of all ages will also enjoy the excellent slides and wave pools, perfect for a family holiday in Port El Kantaoui.

How’s the shopping?

There’s a range of stores along the waterfront and in the medina selling the usual holiday souvenirs. You can also pick up some bargain jewellery, carpets and pottery – just make sure you haggle otherwise you’ll be paying way over the odds!

There is a good selection of restaurants along the marina in Port El Kantaoui serving international and local dishes. The food is probably more expensive here than most of the other resorts, but you will get better quality. Check out the Mediterranean restaurant in the port – great quality food and reasonably priced!
