Overview

The Asteria Hotel opened in 1987 and was the first 5-star hotel in Side. Situated just under two miles from the centre of Side where you will find plenty of shops, bars and restaurants, the beachfront Asteria Side Hotel has 310 spacious and comfortable guestrooms as well as varied facilities and activities for all ages.

During the day you can relax in either the indoor or the outdoor swimming pool the large swimming pool which has a separate Jacuzzi, have fun in the smaller pool which has two water slides or enjoy a dip in the quieter indoor pool. There is a fitness centre and three tennis courts onsite or you can enjoy a game of table tennis, billiards or beach volleyball.

There is a sauna and massage facilities at the Hotel Asteria, and its activity programme is full and varied with sports between 10am and 5.30pm, a shows and cabaret from 9pm to 10pm and a disco (on certain days of the week) from 11pm till closing. There are also activities for children from 10am to midday and again from 2.30pm to 5pm and the little ones will enjoy the daily mini disco from 8pm to 8.30pm.

Sun beds, mattresses, sun umbrellas and towels are provided free of charge at the pool and on the beach, and after a few hours soaking up the Turkish sun you can browse the Asteria’s shopping options which includes a jewellery store, leather goods, carpets and a boutique. If you are planning a special evening there is also a hairdresser at the hotel.

Swimming pools

The hotel has two swimming pools, one indoor and one outdoor. The indoor pool is also heated in the winter season.

Eating and drinking

The hotel has four dining areas and seven venues where you can enjoy a drink. The Perge Restaurant opens from 7am to 10am for breakfast and then again between 6.30pm and 9pm for dinner. Guests can enjoy a late bite at the Serge Restaurant from 11pm to midnight and there are two lunchtime options – the Beach Restaurant and the Turquoise Restaurant, both of which open between 12.30pm and 3.30pm. Drinks are available 24 hours a day from the lobby bar and from 10am to midnight at the Asteria cafe and the Aqua cafe. The Duden cafe is open from 10am to 2am and finally the Beach bar and Turquoise bar are both open for refreshments between 10am and 6pm. The hotel also has a 24 hour room service facility.
