Explore

Turkey benefits from a warm Mediterranean climate, which makes it a superb choice throughout the year. If your dream holiday consists of sun filled days spent laid back on a beach, you will love the stretches of white sand and pebble mixed coastline.

If the sound of the seas lapping at the shore have you intrigued, there is ample opportunity to venture into the sea, discovering an underwater world filled with coral and colourful fish. You can find boat trips leaving from the harbour daily, venturing out to the very best snorkelling spots.

For those who are fortunate enough to discover this discreet part of Turkey, a visit to the Sealanya Waterpark offers an experience with a difference. Upon entering the park you will presented with a wetsuit and a snorkel, and then the chance to explore a coral reef of tropical fish, a manta pool filled with rays and, if you dare, the opportunity to step into the water with a shark in the shark pool.

Culture

No visit to southern Turkey would be complete without a trip to see the Aspendos Amphitheatre. This impressively well-preserved relic was once host to works of opera and theatre as well as housing the Seljuqs during the 13th century. Just over 70km from Turkler, visitors can tread the floors of the theatre, imagining the grandeur of performing in such a dramatic space. This however, does not need to be left completely to the imagination, as there are various performances hosted each year. Take your holiday to Turkler during July and you can experience being part of a ten thousand strong audience, during the ballet and opera festival.

For a day away from the relaxed shores, take a trip to Antalya, one of the more popular resorts along Turkey’s coast. The city sits just around 100km away and is awash with cultural sights, activities, and lively restaurants and nightlife.

No Mediterranean holiday would be complete without the chance to sample some of the very best in traditional cuisine. Many of the restaurants serve freshly caught seafood, complimented by the simple, clean flavours of locally grown produce. Your culinary experience can only be enhanced by the breathtaking views a lot of the restaurants provide. Spend an evening enjoying a drink and watching the sun set over the sparkling Med for some truly magical holiday memories.
