Overview

The Flamingo Country Club is a spectacular resort that enjoys superb views of the Mandalya Bay and the Aegean Sea in the Bodrum area of Turkey. This popular self catering holiday resort offers a wide variety of facilities coupled with high levels of service from its spot overlooking Tuzla Lake on the Bodrum peninsula. The Flamingo Country Club is the ideal base from which to explore the Bodrum Peninsula – either hire a car or make use of the Dolmus (local buses) which are cheap, safe and fun. Bodrum Town, which is well worth a visit, is just 40 minutes from the Flamingo Country Club complex.

Although the Flamingo Country Club is well positioned for exploring the Bodrum peninsula, there are so many things to do onsite you may find that you never leave the complex. Pamper yourself in the Country Club’s beauty parlour, hairdressers, indoor pool, sauna or Turkish bath or enjoy the fitness room with its lovely views. For the energetic there are tennis courts, swimming in one of the many outdoor pools, basketball, volleyball and table tennis. Prefer to just relax, try the beach club or clubhouse, which both have a restaurant and a cafe/bar. A mini supermarket is available for all your shopping requirements and children will love the fully fenced outdoor play area.

Golf is a big feature of any stay at Flamingo Country Club. Onsite there is a 6-hole golf course and just five minutes drive from Flamingo Country Club is the impressive new Vita Park Golf Resort, comprising of two world class golf courses, the Milas, a par 71 golf course with a Scottish Links feel and the Arizona styled Halikarnas, a par 71 course which takes in the contours of the hills around the lakeside. Both courses are designed to test golfers making every game a challenge. Vita Park also has its own driving range, pro-shop, clubhouse and restaurant. The Milas-71 is a pay & play course open to non-members.

The Flamingo Country Club complex is made up of one and two bedroom apartments and two and three bedroom villas clustered together in small groups on the hillside. Each apartment/villa has access to the various communal pools and the many resort amenities. Some of the villas even have their own private pools for guests to enjoy. All accommodation is spacious and furnished to a high standard with air conditioning, en-suite facilities, television, DVD player, kitchen and a balcony or terrace making this the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a self catering holiday in Turkey that is suitable for couples, families and groups of friends alike.

Swimming pools

The Flamingo Country Club has numerous outdoor swimming pools as well as spacious terraces and gardens where you can sunbathe in comfort. The onsite spa centre has an indoor pool and there is a shuttle to the beach club where you can enjoy water sports, swim in the sea, laze on the beach and eat and drink at the convenient beach bar and restaurant.

Eating and drinking

The Flamingo Restaurant provides both indoor and outdoor dining and is located on the first floor of the main building. Open all day, the restaurant offers a selection of both Turkish and full English breakfasts and an a la carte menu in the evening. You can enjoy a wide selection of food, complemented by a wine, beers and spirits, both from Turkey and across the world and there are numerous Turkish mezes to start whilst the main courses features a good selection of traditional lamb and chicken kebabs, steaks, grills and fish in addition to plenty of vegetarian options and of course a desert menu for those with a sweet tooth. The Flamingo Bar, located by the communal pool, is one of the main meeting points for guests, and is especially popular in the evenings. This bar area enjoys a friendly ambience and spectacular views over the hillside and the Flamingo Country Club’s own golf area. International live sports coverage is aired on large flat screen TVs and the bar is open all day from 9am in the summer months. The bar serves a tempting selection of snacks and refreshments, so you never have to stray too far from your sun lounger! You can also put your competitive skills to the test with table tennis, table football and pool, which are available free of charge, and for those who like to stay in touch, wi-fi internet access is available around the pool bar area. There is also a restaurant and a cafe/bar down at the beach club
