One of the most popular sports in the UAE is cricket with two major grounds each in Abu Dhabi and Dubai. Camel racing is thought of as the national sport with one large track 10 km from Dubai and another, about 30 km from Abu Dhabi.
Whilst it is a cosmopolitan country particularly in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, the Muslim traditions and laws of the UAE should be respected at all times including the zero tolerance towards drugs and possessions and the covering of the tops of the arms and legs by women (see http://www.fco.gov.uk).
