The town of Maidenhead is in Berkshire, one of the Home Counties that surround London. It is just west of the capital, lying on the River Thames 26 miles from Charing Cross. As part of the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead there is plenty of history to see and things to do in the area.

- On Maidenhead’s high street you will find many independent and brand name shops, cosy cafes and restaurants. You will also find ‘Art on the Street’, a market where you can buy hand crafted work directly from the artist.
- It is quick and easy to get to London by train from Maidenhead so if you want to experience the buzz of the city, you can.
