• Derby is home to a number of museums and galleries that celebrate the history and culture of the area, such as the Derby Museum and Art Gallery and the QUAD Derby, Derby’s new Arts and Media Centre.
• The city centre of Derby has been pedestrianized, which makes it’s the perfect place for browsing and shopping. The Cathedral Quarter is a wonderful blend of old and new, new boutique designer shops and vintage crafts and clothes all set in historic streets of the oldest part of the city.
• Donington Park is also close to the city. The racetrack is one of the most famous and most popular in the UK, hosting motor racing, touring car championships and Moto GP motorbike races. Donington Park Grand Prix Museum on the site celebrates the history of motorsport and motoring.
