Tiverton is a large historic English town in Devon that stands on two rivers, the Exe and Lowman. The town is the largest in Mid Devon and has plenty to see and do in and around it, it is a great place to visit and due to its central location make a great place from which to explore the surrounding Devon countryside and region.

• Probably the best way to see the town and surrounding areas is on a barge or canal boat. The Grand Western Canal Park and links Tiverton to the nearby town of Taunton, the canal system stretches for over 11 miles and covers a beautiful area of Devon countryside. Boating is encouraged and row boats and canoes can be hired from various facilities. Many also choose to walk along the towpaths as there is plenty of wildlife in the surrounding area that makes for a wonderful stroll.
• Bickleigh Mill is Mid Devon’s premier rural shopping attraction. There are lots of shops offering local crafts and gifts as well as men and women’s fashion and clothes shops. There are also restaurants, cafes and a farm shop.

• Tiverton is a beautiful place to stay in its own right there are a number of fun and welcoming pubs in the town and nearby that serve local beers and ciders and many have traditional home cooked menus.
• The town is a great place to stay for access to some of Devon’s nearby attractions such as Kents Cavern in Torquay and the National Marine Aquarium in Plymouth.
