• No trip to Douglas is complete without a Horse Drawn Tram ride along the promenade. The tram service dates backs to 1876 and the trams have in recent years been fitted with roller bearings to make it easier for the horses. The horses are very friendly and those with an equine interest may want to visit the Rest Home for Old Horses which is open to the public.
