- Those interested in history will not want to miss a day at Althorp House. Home to the Spencer family, one of England’s aristocratic dynasties, this beautiful house is open to the public from July to August in 2012.
- Check out the famous Northampton and Lamport Railway. This steam and heritage diesel operated tourist railway is situated in the Northamptonshire countryside just 5 miles from Northampton itself. Enjoy a ride on the one and a half mile long railway, and re-live the splendour of a by gone age.
