The small town tucked away in Oxfordshire has a lot more to offer than a nursery rhyme, in fact it has a surprisingly generous helping of things to see and do.

Getting Around Banbury

• Stroll around the quiet town centre and explore the interesting mix of galleries and museums, showcasing local artists and work from further afield. Admire the Gothic architecture of the St. Mary’s Church then wander down Butcher’s Row, a street that has preserved the features of its original landmark.
• For those who want to test their golfing skills, Banbury Town has a good golf course nearby.
• Shopping in Banbury Town is mostly focused around the central point Banbury Cross. There are a handful of high street names alongside a few independents and the traditional post office, green grocer and butchers. Shopping is not something that pulls visitors into Banbury town but it is a quaint and pleasant experience.
• There aren’t many exotic restaurants in Banbury Town but there are enough choices to keep visitors happy. Have something traditionally English at a local pub or get your heart racing with an hot curry.
• An evening out in Banbury Town is usually spent at a local pub enjoying a drink. After a long day sight seeing, there is nothing better than having a natter with the locals and deciding where to take your next adventure.
