Historical Sights
- Salisbury is known for its ancient cathedral, a beautiful construction that dates back to the 1200’s. Some exquisite lawns lead up to the medieval structure, which has the tallest spire in England, at 404 feet high. If you’re a history buff you will definitely have to take a look inside the cathedral, where you can see an original copy of the Magna Carta.
- The Salisbury and South Wiltshire Museum is found in the King’s House, which is a Grade One listed building just opposite the cathedral. Here you can learn about the history of the town, as well as some archeological findings, such as a skeleton of the Amesbury Archer.
- There are different tales of history to be told in some particular locations across the city, and these can be explored with a Ghost Tour, Thats if you have the courage of course!
