Bromsgrove at a Glance
Bromsgrove is a small rural town located in the northeastern part of the English county of Worcestershire. The town dates back to the ninth century, when it was first founded in Anglo-Saxon England. The town was once a thriving community of craftsmen who were responsible for many fine works of art and ironwork, including the gates of Buckingham Palace
Discover Bromsgrove
- Bromsgrove has a wealth of listed buildings and historical focal points, the main attraction being Grafton Manor, which dates back to the 14th century. The Manor was given to the Talbot family who, supposedly, are said to have connections with the planning of the infamous gunpowder plot of 1605.
Entertainment and Arts
- Bromsgrove is host to a theatre and arts centre located in the middle of the town, which holds regular shows, stand up comedians and concerts. Its media complex, the Artrix, also has a multi screen cinema showing all the latest box office hits.
- Since the early 1960s Bromsgrove has also hosted it annual Classical Music festival. Which celebrates all things truly magnificent about this fine era of composition. The festival is widely considered to be a truly magical experience, and each year gets international media recognition.
- If music is not your cup of tea, then why not take some fishing gear and a pair of hiking boots and hire one of many narrow boats and spend your time unwinding along the Worcester and Birmingham canal.
