Kidderminster Highlights
- Kidderminster is steeped in a lavish history and many of its attractions date back as far as the medieval times. One attraction that is a must see is Harvington Hall, which is a moated, Elizabethan manor house situated to the south of the town. It has a wealth of fine paintings and some of the finest priest hiding places in the county. These hiding places were designed around the time that Queen Elizabeth I began her reign and catholic priests were prosecuted by English law.
- Another great attraction is the Kidderminster Rail Museum, which celebrates the age of the steam locomotive. It was started by a handful of avid enthusiasts and has become one of the town’s main focal points.
Relax on the River
- If holidaymakers are looking for something a little more laid back, then it's popular to hire a canal boat and sail along the Staffordshire and Worcestershire canal. You can enjoy a picnic on the water, sip on some champagne and will get to see the town from a very different perspective.
