- From the bluffs of Palos Verdes, down south near Torrance Beach, the sandy beach stretches all the way north towards the Redondo Pier, and beyond that, on towards North Redondo. Stretching the entire length of the beach is a paved avenue known as the Strand, and here you’ll find busy crowds of tourists and locals – on foot, cycles, skateboards or rollerblades.
- At the heart of the beach you’ll find the Municipal Pier, a popular spot to go for a walk and enjoy the view. The area of Redondo Beach is a very popular destination with sports enthusiasts. Beach volleyball and tennis are two of the main examples, along with miniature golf and boules. On top of that, the area caters for a wide range of water sports – with jet skiing, windsurfing and even scuba diving nearby.

Some of the other sites worth visiting in this area include the popular tourist hotspots of Manhattan Beach, and just a little way to the north, Hermosa Beach.
