Overview

The Blue Heron Beach Resort features one and two bedroom condominium style suites overlooking Lake Bryan in the Lake Buena Vista area, minutes from downtown Orlando and just a mile from the Walt Disney World Resort. The hotel is also surrounded by world-class shopping and outlet stores, and is four miles from Seaworld and five miles from Universal Studios. The hotel operates a complimentary scheduled shuttle service to the Disney parks and this high rise building also gives you a perfect view of the Disney World fireworks from the observation platforms on every level.

Family-friendly, the Blue Heron Beach Resort’s 283 fully furnished condo suites all have a kitchen, bunk beds for kids, a balcony with great views, a Jacuzzi-tub in the master bedroom and air conditioning. The one bed suites can sleep a maximum of six people so are perfect for a holiday in Orlando. A daily housekeeping service is not provided although this can be requested with extra charge. There are however plenty of towels in each room and a washer/dryer.

The location, nestled on the banks of this natural spring fed lake, means you can enjoy water sports activities such as jet skiing or water skiing from the Buena Vista Water Sports Centre (additional charges apply although these are discounted for Blue Heron guests) or play a round of tropical mini golf at the adjacent 36 Hole Miniature Golf Course. The hotels own pool deck has a large and a small pool, a hot tub, a children’s pool and plenty of space where you can relax and soak up some Orlando sunshine.

The Blue Heron Beach Resort also has two onsite fitness centre’s, a video arcade games room, a private dock (where the water sport centre can bring anything you have hired), covered parking (limited spaces) to ensure you car stays cool during the summer months, and although Blue Heron is a self catering resort, within the building you will find a Starbucks, CiCi’s Pizza, Dunkin Donuts, a supermarket and a gift shop. Attraction tickets are available in the Blue Heron Beach Resort lobby.

The right choice?

The hotel is in a superb area close to all the attractions Orlando is famous for and is ideal for families looking for value for money accommodation with a ‘home from home’ appeal. Each suite is spacious and can accommodate at least six people whilst the pool area and water sports on the lake are always popular.

Swimming pools

The hotels 6000 square foot pool deck sits on the shores of Lake Bryan and is home to a large free-form swimming pool, a smaller pool, a children’s pool and a hot tub.

Eating and drinking

Each room has a well equipped kitchen and within the complex there is a Starbucks, CiCi’s Pizza, Dunkin Donuts and a supermarket. There are plenty more dining options in the Lake Buena Vista area and you are just minutes from downtown Orlando and the Disney Parks.
