Hawaiian Islands Kauai Holidays

Kauai at a Glance

Floating happily in the North Pacific Ocean is Kauai, the northernmost island of the Hawaii group. Kauai offers a lush and verdant setting to its visitors and, of the main islands, is geologically the oldest.

You’ll Love Kauai If…

  • You are in search of a deserted getaway for two, yet with all the comforts of an American resort.
  • You have always dreamed of pure white sands and azure blue seas.
  • You’re an explorer, who wants a destination with an unbelievable landscape that you can’t wait to discover.

Discover Kauai

Kauai is a stunning island of immense natural splendour, home to lush tropical jungles, rugged and spectacular terrain ripe for exploring and, of course, if it’s beaches you’re after then there is no shortage on a Kauai holiday. For one of the more secluded spots, take the short hike to Lumahai Beach, where, of course, you can laze on the sand with your skin feeling kissed by the sun, but you can even cliff dive if you dare.

  • Something that comes with its age, there are some breathtaking wonders to explore across the island, including the Waimea Canyon. Over ten miles long and a mile wide, it’s layers offer a colourful setting mixed in with the lush greens of the plant life sitting on top.

  • You can hike above the canyon, experiencing its outer terrain and viewing it from a number of highlighted spots. There is even the opportunity to camp there if you want to explore further.

  • The Na Pali coast is one of the most striking sights in the world, with its otherworldly setting lending itself to films such as Jurassic Park. Showing off steep cliffs and immaculately unspoiled isolated beaches, a holiday to Kauai would be wasted without seeing it. With sands that can only be reached by boat, helicopter or by professional hikers, as you can imagine they offer some of the most private spots on the island.

  • The vibrant town of Poipu is also certainly worth checking out.
  • Activities in Kauai

Kauai is paradise for lovers of the great outdoors and offers a wealth of fun adventure activities to enjoy for all ages.

    • If you want to keep active during your holiday to Kauai you can arrange to do one of the more unusual activities, such as kayaking down one of the island’s river runs. There are a number of routes to try, which suit all different abilities and experience levels.

    • Mountain biking is very popular, with the huge choice of terrain found across the island. Determine routes across some of the challenging landscapes or keep it simple and enjoy a leisurely ride along one of the roads, either way it’s a great way to see some more scenery.

    • Of course the glistening seas call out to be swam in, but you can also discover a dazzling underwater world with a spot of snorkeling. Schools of fish and drifting turtles offer some great sea entertainment, and there are plenty of caves and rock formations to swim in and around.
