Newark Liberty International Airport is about 15 miles (24 km) southwest of Midtown Manhattan (New York City). Newark is the tenth busiest airport in the United States, in 2008, with all the people that travelled to New York through Newark, La Guardia and the JFK airport made the New York area the second busiest airport system in the world in terms of passenger numbers only just behind London.
On your cheap holidays visit the Federal Hall, where George Washington was inaugurated as the first president of the United States. Nearby, the World Trade Centre Site is undergoing construction of a memorial to the victims of September elevenths terrorist attacks. Connecting Lower Manhattan to Downtown Brooklyn, the Brooklyn Bridge offers fantastic views of the Manhattan and Brooklyn skylines.

If its history you are after then visit the aptly named Museum Avenue which is host to some of the finest Museums in the world most notably the Guggenheim. On the other hand if you are looking for fun fun fun, then look no further than Times Square, the bright lights and quirky attractions will amaze you. And why not catch a show in one of the many Broadway theatres.
