Columbus is the largest city and capital of Ohio. Named after the famous explorer, Christopher Columbus, the city was established in the early part of the 19th century and has developed into a technologically sophisticated city with a diverse economy. Columbus was also the seat of the famous ‘Columbus Experiment’ where the first water plant to use filtration and softening techniques in the world was built by the Hoover brothers. Columbus is also home to Ohio State University.
